Oakwood Cemetery lies quietly nestled on 20 acres beside Converse College on Spartanburg's east side. Visitors to this notable cemetery find it a peaceful place that tells the history of the city through magnificent sculptures and the early residents buried there.

Converse Garden is a tranquil, picturesque one-acre area of the cemetery with lots now available for purchase. In addition, families can combine lots to create their own Monumental Family Estates. This area accepts human and pet cremations in addition to traditional burials.

Working in conjunction with The Spartanburg County Foundation, a permanent fund was created for donors to assist with the necessary funds for the maintenance and preservation of Oakwood Cemetery. 100% of all donations go toward this purpose.
